On Campus, Off Campus, Where Should You Live?...

Housing options can be divided into one of two categories: on campus and off campus. Colleges and universities generally offer on-campus housing gacilities geared toward freshman students transitioningto independent living after high school, family student housing for students who are married or have children and graduate student housing for students pursuing advanced degrees.

Some schools own and operate housing located off-campus in the local community. Schools typically maintain lists of offcampus housing whis in not owned by the school.
